If there were titles to specific days in my life, that would be today's theme.
Started the day by playing the Sunday Hundred Grand, doubled to 6k the fourth hand when someone got it in with 8's vs my Kings. Unfortunately, that would be the last time I really won a pot the rest of the tournament. Picked up three hands that ended up being the end of my tournament life, all vs short stacks with ~1000-1800.
AQ suited in the small blind, made a raise to half the BB's stack, he insta shoves and I call, he flips over AK suited.
Shake it off, three hands later, I pick up AKs, short stack shoves all in for the ~seventh~ hand in a row, I reraise to isolate, he flips over AA.
Finally, after chipping down to 3,400 chips with blinds at 400/800, I shove with KK and get snap called by AA. Bust ~600 from the money.
Played 4 SnG's, busted out of two when AK failed to hold up vs 23 and JJ couldn't hold vs 86s.
Made the money in another one, currently the big stack, pick up KK, fold from button and shove from the SB, I call, she flips 8's, rivers a set. After I'm cut in half, 3rd busts, and I get it in twice with AJ to lose and bust both times to villains Ace/rag to get second.
Last SnG, down to four players, I'm chip leader with 4,000, blinds are 300/600, I pick up KQ in the big blind, SB shoves, I make (possibly a hero call?) and he flips over 23. Flop comes KJ4, turn is a 5, river is a 6, and I'm down to 1,200 chips. I shove the next hand UTG with K9, small blind calls, flips over Q9, turns a Q and I'm out.
What I'd pay to run good break-even.
