Figured I might as well support this THPBlog thing, and drum up some readers for my other one.
So, for the uninitiated, I'm gonna crosspost the last post(s) from my livejournal blog, and point you all in that direction... I don't want to just use this thing as a crosspost dump, but I can't figure out quite what else I'd want to do with it. Give me a little time to figure it out. I might start using this for my more 'poker article' type things.

Gamblor, I choose you!

The Dells trip came and went. It was a lot of fun, despite the gambling being average at best. (We went to the Ho-Chunk casino one night) I guess I'm officially in the red for BOTH my Blackjack "career" and my Video Poker "career."
Oh well. I also got beat up a bit yesterday on zee poker front but not too bad. One of those KK loses to QQ, then two hands later loses to AA sort of days.
Tomorrow, though, is going to be a completely new experience for me.
I am betting sports!
Well not really. But, I finally became convinced that Mansion was pretty reputable, so I'd take advantage of their bonus offer. If you haven't heard: their offer is that if you bet $1100 on the Steelers to cover the spread tomorrow (I got in at +/-0 since I didn't do it until Roethlisburgererarjegrr was out) and lose, they refund the $1100.
I could've stopped at that, but I had to hedge it. I offset the hedging a bit though: I win more money if the Dolphins cover at +1 than I do if the Steelers cover, so I still get to watch the game and be too excited about it. Worst case scenario (barring two major player Sportsbooks disappearing overnight) is ~+$425, but that extra $100ish is going to make or break me!
On the other side of the coin, just doing this a bit has made me realize that sports betting might be like, really fun. Which could be bad news. Stu Ungar-esque stories of betting my entire bankroll on games and losing it all to follow.
