Nice Vacation
Permalink Posted 1:43 pm in Categories: Poker

Finished up another session of superturbos and decided to tally results. Lo and behold I played 150 on the nose which pleases my math/logic/rigid brain. Here's the rundown.

150 SNGs played @ $28+2 each = $4500
1st: 35 @ $126 each = $4410
2nd: 15 @ $75.60 each = $1134
3rd: 16 @ $50.40 each = $806.40

So if I'm doing my numbers correctly:

ITM: 44%
ROI: 41%
$/SNG: $12.37
Net: $1850.40

Yeah, that's a decent two weeks vacation. I run goot. Made as much as I'd make in a month working 65 hours a week on the ship, and I did this in probably 20 hours on the tables. Go figure. I need to have vacation more. Leaving tomorrow, so this'll be the last post I'm sure for a few months. Take care whoever actually reads this, and good luck with whatever you're doing.

Oh yeah, and I cashed in the Sunday warmup on stars for almost $600, won another T$215 while qualifying and used those on some Double or Nothing SNGs where I made another ~200 or so. Hah!

Nice work.

Looks like you won't be able to reply to this for a while, but I'm going to ask the question anyway;

The sng's you play-do you sitck to one type (9 seaters, 45 seaters etc or do you just play whatever you feel like?

9 seat only, superturbos only. I like teh gamb00l. Can be super super volatile at times (in the beginning of this stretch I had a 21 game no cash streak, didn't have a 1st in 30+) but if you've got to roll to weather the swings it's a decent way to grind up a little extra dough.

For less swinginess, more of a steady grind, you could do the double or nothings on Pokerstars. Boring as hell because they're super nitty, but top 5 all get double their money back. Like the superturbos, you also get lots of weird bubble situations, similar to a satellite, but they're pretty soft and make it easier to slowly but surely build up a roll.
