In the wilderness
Permalink Posted 7:19 am in Categories: Poker

Haven't played for a few days and haven't had chance to update my blog.

I multi-tabled 3x $50NL cash tables a few nights ago. It was my first visit to these stakes for about two years. It all went ok. I made $31 profit.

However, I've also realised that my post flop game is struggling since coming back from holiday. On holiday I read Gus Hansen's-every hand revealed. As a lot of his analysis is based around big stack-short stack situations, and therefore the focus was less about post flop play as the situations were not as common. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it. Of course it could be one big excuse and the real reason is based around my incompetence, which has suddenly come to light on the higher stakes. I will keep you informed.

Looking at the $50NL cash tables as a whole, although I only played 60-70 minutes, I noticed they suited my style of play a bit more. As a whole, the tables were slightly tighter than the $25NL and I actually found a few players who were quite tricky to play against.

This helped me out as unless i had a strong hand, I just stayed out their way.

17 hours play. 180 seater sng’s = -$26.40, 9,18 & 45 seater sng’s = $0, cash tables = +$132.70
