1/3 NL at Local Cardroom

Postby sactokid544 » Thu Jul 30, 2009 1:34 pm GMT

Ok. So we are at a full table and I'm in the CO. The table is a little on the loose side and passive.

UTG limps. UTG+1 raises to 7. He was a beginner and I had a DEFINITE read on him. I was 100%. I KNEW he had AA.

LAG to my immediate right makes it $20 to go, (he does this with ATC). I stop to look at my cards and the Button calls out of turn, which prompts UTG to call out of turn. My cards are:

J :club: J

I'm afraid of calling because I have a 100% positive read on UTG+1. I've seen him raise small in EP and pump after a reraise. I'm afraid that if I call, he pumps it then I have another tough decision.

What do you do? Do you fold this?

Fold. Unless in some bizarro world everyone is sitting very short, will call any raise and you can end up with the right odds to set mine.

Well, I was thinking about a way to get odds to setmine. But those calls out of turn just screamed weakness to me, I didn't think they could call a raise.

So my thinking line was similar to yours. I'll post results after someone else chimes in as well.

If you are 100% sure he has AA why would you ever call here? He is obviously just going to shove when it gets back round to him costing you $20, unless you are not 100% sure which I am kind of guessing seeing as you have posted this topic.
