Nothing planned... just coincidental. Wow. you almost sound like one of the people that I deal blackjack too. They believe certain dealers are bad luck ... when it was purely coincidental that they caught their losing streak when I pitched them the cards. LOl

well apparently you do need to deposit money into the account for it to be deemed a money account

I believe you can still play without a real account but you cannot get any prize money so there is probably no point playing. You could always deposit 50 bucks, play for free and if you don't place, just cash out?

Alright I'm set too. I figured I haven't missed a final table yet with you guys so why let this one go. :P I'll be Brett48 as usual. And oh yeah Elwood, don't try a re-raise on me like you contemplated last game. That time I was bluffing but we'll see this time.

don't worry, I'll prolly try it on someone else first  Last time I disappointed myself, I was doing so well, and then got too caught up in the chat window. Ohh well, it was a blast as I expect this one will be too. I've been playing so much ring game lately I hope I remember the blinds go up

And Sal, not superstitious, just observant. Your ploy to take over every page of this forum one last post at a time is up.

I've been brushing up on my probability and odds skills, and I think I've figured it out. Assuming that 100 players actually show up for this tournament, and assuming that the first five spots only are paid, and assuming that these spots double since it is a $1000 freeroll (as opposed to the $500 freeroll previously played), then the EV (expected value) of this tournament is actually + $9. Of course, all freerolls have a positive expected value, as the cost of entering is nothing.

The value of winning or placing amongst peers is priceless though.

Now that I think about it, let's assume that only 50 people showed up. The numbers double and expected value jumps up to $20! Of course, bragging rights aren't so huge since less people will gawk and admire you.
