16 tables video

Postby MrDarling » Thu Jun 19, 2008 3:53 am GMT

Just finished uploading part one.
Its 30 min long, a bit blurry and with a big Demo stamp in the middle. But its viewable.

Its 89mb big QT mov video. Should be easily viewable with any Quick Time players.
I actually talk a lot and sometimes I even make sense.
There are 5 min of silence since I got a phone call and decided to cut the audio off but leave the video.

Let me know if you guys are interested to see part 2 and 3.

I got to about 15 mins and switched it off. There's not really any content there.

The quality is too poor, you can't see the hands and you don't have enough time to explain your thought process during the hands you do play, you just say what you are doing.

Make vids 4 tabling and it will be fine, but 16 there isn't really any point.

On the plus side, I would probably watch it all just for your accent.

HE HAD THE GUT.

Well, I shot a 4 tables video. But its a 2 hours long.
There were loads of interesting spots: one guy lost at least 5 BI in one table. I misplayed TPTK+NFD 200BB deep in a 3B pot.

However, there were not enough spots to make the entire 2 hours interesting and there are a lot of dead spots. So I'm either going to edit it down and try to cut the boring parts away or more likely just bin it and forget about the all thing.

Tips to anyone who find them selves auto playing - record your self making video while talking about your decision. It really does improve your game.

As for accents, you have no idea how popular I was with the girls when I visit USA. They all thought my accent was cute.

You forget, I'm British, the original cute voice.

Well just cut the two hour session down into 5 vids or something. Don't edit it. You are not making the video for the general public, you are making it for poker players.

Watched about 2 minutes of it, quality is to nutty to get any real tips. I must say Darling i bet you can make some good videos if you cut it down to 4-6 tables.

i didnt watch that buy how do you possibly play 16 tables at a time? i dont understand how thats done, i dont see how u could ever act in time on each table unless u only play aces or kings & fold everything else.

playing many tables you do play tighter, but I still play 16% of my hands (give or take)
You'd be surprise what can one get used to, I even manage to write notes while I play 16 tables.

TBH, my win rate playing 6 tables is probably 3 times higher then playing 16... however I need to check and see when is my hourly rate biggest.

I did make a 4 tables video a while back but haven't got time to edit it yet, and since am in Israel now I don't have access to that video, might make a new video soon...

nah.

Also, basically some people think/click faster than others.. a lot of this is just comfort with computers/experience. After playing CS/SC the amount of action on 12+ tables on Stars is still hella zzzZzZz even with my vpip.

I watched the video up until the point of the phonecall. I found it interesting to watch.

I'm surprised you would take the phone call! I don't even take calls if I am only playing 2 tables.

Ashame this didn't show a lot of interest since I think I binned the other parts. There was a very interesting hand where I fold top two pair on the river to a c/r shove when we were 200BB deep or more...

the phone call is pretty short and you can easily skip that part (I though about cutting it off) I do take phone calls, but not skype calls (infact last time I took a skype call I over played TPQK in a 250BB deep pot just because I didn't notice we were deep)

I don't know if you see in the first part, but I even manage to write notes playing 16 tables (though that might cause time outs)

Am planing to make a 4 table video soon. but I need to use my mom's computer for that and I just can't be bothered :)

Cool, look forward to seeing the 4 table video as well. I like to see what others are thinking.

I'm pretty focused when I play... I hate any little distraction. If I try to play on a laptop in front of the TV, I just donate money. So I try to stay focused and play at a desk on a desktop. Don't really even talk to my wife when I'm playing.

well, the way I play now I can give a pretty good idea on how to lose money.
Even my AA can't stand AI PF vs AK. And people decide to call my 200BB bluffs with TP weak kicker when my line should make a lot of sense to anyone paying attention.
