Craig O'Neill is his real name.

Good luck, Craig!

Crap, wsop.com isn't even providing updates for that event.

Nonetheless, go get 'em, bring us back a bracelet and good stories.

Geno, do you think there are enough people actually playing in events (or just attending I guess) that a separate '2009 WSOP experiences'-type sticky thread is warranted?

Other than crack and Scan, I don't know of anyone else who is playing this year? I will only play if I score big in the first couple days or satellite in.

We really need to mention Ville Wahlbeck who is putting in easily one of the best WSOP performances ever. His event listing currently reads:

Event 06 - $10,000 7CS - 3rd - $152,915 - 560 POTY
Event 12 - $10,000 Mixed - 1st - $492,375 - 1140 POTY
Event 18 - $10,000 Omaha 8OB - 13th - $31,632 - 54 POTY
Event 23 - $10,000 2-7 Draw - 2nd - $172,864 - 500 POTY

That is utterly sick.

Btw I didn't win. I didn't make it past day 1.

Big hand came up early where I opened with A4o got called by the button flop comes AKx I bet he calls. Turn 4 I bet again he calls. River comes Qd and it's running diamonds. When it hits the dude says "terrible".

Before I was reaching for chips to value bet the shit out of my two pair, but then I decide to check. He checks AK behind me and I'm like WTF LOL. Then I lost a flip a few hours later to busto.

HAHAHAH live pokeraments.

I wasn't going to play today but turns out I did. I got late reg like 2 hours in. Ran up my stack to 17k. Made a spewy move like the online fish I am with AQ. I still kind of like my play but live I am prolly spewing like a dick but I dunno. i can't be bothered going into it because I just played 10hrs and I am depressed that I didn't cash. I had a setup SB v BB Which if I was some nit could prolly have got away from but I ended up doubling some dude up.

Then bustoed after dinner with 99 v AJ

Don't know when next event is.

I skim read the first bit of your post and saw only the bits above. Shame the story is not you making $17K in a cash game after all.

Michael Greco took 3rd in the latest $1,500 NLHE event. For those who don't know him, he was a UK TV star in the most popular soap over here (Eastenders). After he left, he took up poker and is turning out to be a shit hot player. He really should have started sooner!

Awesome about Ivey :-D
