FT in the $40K event:
Seat 1 - Ted Forrest (560,000)
Seat 2 - Noah Schwartz (660,000)
Seat 3 - Alec Torelli (2,340,000)
Seat 4 - Isaac Haxton (5,955,000)
Seat 5 - Greg Raymer (3,345,000)
Seat 6 - Justin Bonomo (1,685,000)
Seat 7 - Lex Veldhuis (3,805,000)
Seat 8 - Dani Stern (1,300,000)
Seat 9 - Vitaly Lunkin (4,565,000)
I'd love to see Raymer take it down although that is a stacked table and everyone is a worthy winner.

Is this some funky reporting on Event 3 or am I being thick?
First of all, how does Phan have a higher full house and obviously second, how does he have two [Qs]?
I guess they meant [8s] since the [7s] is dead.........

Phan Slowrolls, Then Busts
John "The Razor" Phan was all in preflop against a couple of opponents. After the board played out [Ac][7c][4d][Ad][8d], one opponent revealed [Ah][Kh][4h][2h] for a full house to scoop the high half of the pot. The other player showed [Js][7s][3h][2c] for the low half.
Phan waited to see his opponents' hands before taking his time to reveal [As][Qs][9c][Qs] for a higher full house to scoop the high half of the main pot.
After the hand, Phan had only 3,000 chips and was eliminated a few hands later in unknown action.

Dani's the only FT'er that I've seen in his underwear, so I'm gonna go for him.
Jesus christ if he becomes a millionaire there is going to be no dealing with him

It seems quite inconsistent; how could Pham have only 3K in chips if he won this (presumably huge) pot?
I'm guessing the "Phan waited..." sentence is just misreporting; maybe he misread and said, "I've got you beat" or something.
So, I think it's funky reporting. In no way, though, is that mutually exclusive to your being thick.

This is just extraordinary:
Thang Luu won it last year and was second in 2007. To win this event back-to-back would be the sickest achievement in post-Moneymaker era WSOP in my opinion.

Seat 1 - Ming Reslock
Seat 2 - Jordan Rich
Seat 3 - Pascal Leyo
Seat 4 - Ed Smith
Seat 5 - Freddy Deeb
Seat 6 - Senovio Ramirez
Seat 7 - Thang Luu
Seat 8 - Robert Price
Seat 9 - Jim Geary
For a third straight year, Thang Luu has made the final table of this event.

Comforting to know.
Hey, I'm right there for you, my friend.
What tournament was it that Thang Luu FT'd for the 3rd year?
