Not sure whether villain horribly played his set of A's or K's post-flop, horribly played his AK post-flop, or had Q
J
for the flush. In this case, we need to know what villain is like and how he plays. Unless he held the Q:heart:J:heart: and was trying to steal pre-flop, this hand was just played really strangely and unorthodox. On the other hand, he could also have pocket Q's or J's and thought you were trying to steal on the river based on your flop and turn checks (I'm sure he didn't put you on a set of 6's). Hard to say what to do based on the info you gave us, but I might call because of your checking on flop and turn.
If he does indeed have the set of A's or K's then he's a donk and I wouldn't feel too bad. If he has the QJ for the flush, then oh well what can you do right? Hard to put him on that hand or any flush based on his pre-flop action. If he has the AK, then he's a donk and I would feel extra good for hitting my set on the river and taking his money. I would have to call just based on the way this hand was played out.

you need to fold this cause if you consider his range (QQ+ AK) then you are more than likely behind...
that being said i don't know if i could fold..
Do you really think many players would check the set on such a board on 2 streets?
Btw., villain is a reg, but I don't remember any significant hand with him. I think he is pretty agressive though.

i call this vs an agro reg
mostly coz of his weak lead on river followed by your weak raise
but i would bet turn here like almost always, if he just calls i get a free showdown, and if he raises its an easy fold

that is why i don't think i would be able to fold that in real life...
analysis of a situation is best for long term +EV but there are that 1 in 100 times you see a donk show that...
make a note on that guy and only call in these situations against that guy... unknown this should still be a fold..
