4 Card Flop

4 Card Flop

When I first was taught how to play Texas Hold 'Em a 4 card flop was dealt. Now I see a 3 card flop being dealt and I am told 3 card is correct and a 4 card is not. What happened and what is going on.

To my knowledge, it has never been 4 so I guess you were just told incorrectly back at the start.
