4 of a kind?
We were playing a hand last night and i was holding JH JC and my friend was holding 8H 8D the remaing community cards were KH KD KS KC and 6S. Now i know that the top five cards are used in analysis but i was unable to find out if a kicker is used for a four of a kind (seeing how this rarely happens) because we would both have the same four of a kind but my kicker would be the Jack as opposed to his 8.
thanks, danny

You would have indeed won sir. U always make the best five card hand from the seven cards on offer. You have KKKKJ, he has KKKK8 like u say so it comes down to ur kicker which wins.
