7 card stud stats

Postby djbaseball24 » Tue Jul 13, 2004 5:40 pm GMT

During current Stud session you were dealt 23 hands and:
- saw fourth street 14 times (60%)
- saw fifth street 9 times (39%)
- saw sixth street 8 times (34%)
- reached showdown 6 times (26%)
Pots won at showdown - 3 of 6 (50%)
Pots won without showdown - 0

During a freeroll these were stats before I had to leave, I doing good too.
Are these stats good bad or what?

Well, two things:

There are many, many factors that go into these stats, even more than in Hold'Em, due to the door-card factor, not to mention the idea that it seems to me that stud hands are much more heavily affected by the # of players in the hand than in Hold'em.

Secondly, you only played 23 hands. There's no way that these statistics are an accurate barometer of your style of play anyway.

Prolly not what you wanna hear, but that's my take on it. Have fun playin stud though, I love stud, especially Hi/Lo, and I like to see players branching out to other forms of poker

Your stats look pretty good but I think 60% is too much for fourth street. Looks like you need to tighten up a bit. It cost money to see that extra card. Also be more aggressive on fourth street it might add to your numbers pots won w/o showdown. That number tells me that your not aggressive and will fold to a more aggressive player.

But if your doing good dont change your game too much. If it works well dont change it. But I definitely think you should fold more hands before 4th. It will save you some money.

Yeah at first I was going to mention tightening up before fourth... but after seeing that it was only a 23 hand sample... really, over 23 hands, any %, including 0, or 100, wouldn't be all that shocking for seeing fourth ;P
