a few questions
With what cards in my hand should i proceed to the flop?
(i would like to try and play a tight game so i was thinking only proceed with: any combo Ace to 9 and also and hand that contains a king or Ace?)
When im working out odds should i expect a two pair to win? (unless there is already a pair on table in which case 3 of a kind, if there are 4 parts of a straight or a flush on the table then expect that to win, if there are two pairs on the table expect a full house to win) is that the right sort of idea?
Where should cut off point be for going all out in trying to get as much money as possible out of other players? (full house?)
My last question is: when i have worked out that that the chance of me getting (example: a seven) is 1/6 if there is one card left to be laid out on the table.(comunity card)
what is the odds that i will get a seven if there are still 5 cards left to be unturned on the table? (comunity cards)
Many thanks in advance to all those people who reply.

Re: a few questions
start by looking at this post written a few days ago.
cash-game-starting-hands-style-t26388.html
it kinda sums up a good starting place for you. Notice that his starting hands depend on his position. If he has to act early his hands are tighter (or stronger) than if he was on the button.
It's by no means a perfect stratagy, but sounds like it would be a good starting point for you.
Good luck, and keep posting your hands. We will soon tell you whether you played it right or not.
Welcome to the forum btw.

Re: a few questions
The problem with your questions is; there are too many variables to give a straight forward answer.
For example; lets say it's your turn to act and one player has limped into the pot already. Before you even look at your cards you need to consider
........and all this before you even look at your cards!
So when you ask the question; "When im working out odds should i expect a two pair to win?" there are times when a high card wins, but there are also times when I wouldn't continue in a pot unless i have a flush.
It would be better to break down you question to a specific scenario.
For example; lets say it's your turn to act and one player has limped into the pot already. Before you even look at your cards you need to consider
- What position you are in?
If you limp, who else will?
What implications are there if you limp or raise?
If it is usual for this player to limp?
What cards would he he limp with?
Your stack size?
The limpers stack size?
The players left to acts stack sizes?
What you know about the players left to act?
Whether the players left to act are likely to raise or re-raise?
Whether you are playing a tourney or cash game?
What stakes you are playing.
........and all this before you even look at your cards!
