A New Species of Poker Wacko--Needs a Name
I've been noticing a new (to me) species of poker wacko that needs a proper name. This guy will sit down as the only player at one to five tables and wait for other players to sit down to create a short handed game at a full ring table. He'll then play aggressive-as-hell poker until he either takes a really bad thumping or the table gets up to 4 or more players. Then he's out of there to start the process over again.
There's a player called "JCrosby" on Stars who does this all the time at $2/4 FL ring games. What's really funny is that I've noticed another player stalking him. If I see Ol' JC at a table this other guy will show up and just badger him mercilessly. I've sat in on this game a couple of times and cleaned up when these two get into a furball and I've made a good hand.
Anyway, does anybody have a good species name for this kind of player?

Yeah, this strategy is relatively common among people who believe they are very good at short-handed Poker, and in limit, it's actually quite difficult to overcome an opponent who simply bets with reckless abandon in a short-handed game. Of course, the strategy is also massively exploitable if they do not temper their aggression somewhat.
I have actually done the same thing at Stud and Triple Draw tables, simply because most people play HU or short-handed extremely poorly in those games. Don't think I would try it at Hold'em, as there are a lot of people much better at short-handed LHE than I am.

They knew enough to know that their hands were weak, but they didnt know enough to realize their hands were winners.
I did exactly the same thing when I was there at slightly different hours. That was a great game.
