AA in BB vs mid position raiser

Postby LeeG » Thu Mar 05, 2009 3:13 pm GMT

This is a $10KO tourney on FT. Blinds are currently at 250/500 and we are near the money bubble (65 paid, 70 left). I am about triple chip average and in the top 5 overall. I have recently knocked out a few small stacks on coin tosses (mid pair vs over all in preflop - I have been on both sides. Villain has been at the table a while, but I haven't noted any specific details about his play.

V in MP with 38K in chips raises to 1500. Action folds to H in BB with AA. I 3 bet to 4500. V Calls.

Flop:
T 8 3 Rainbow.
I lead out for 8K. V calls

Turn 5 putting 2 clubs on board.
I lead out for 14K (about 2/3 of V's remaining stack) and hope for a push. He calls.

River: red 7

Lead out here for the rest of his stack? The only real danger hand I see here is TT for flopped top set.

Comments please on my line and what to do here.

I did bet enough to put him AI on river and he called with Jacks.

Yeh this is fairly typical, just bet every street, and by river now , you can shove without it being too much. Easy game .
