Add-On Tourney

In Vegas last weekend with a bud and we decide to play a tourney.

$60 buy-in with a $40 add-on anytime in the 1st hour.

We both are planning to add-on.

Question:

I buy-in for the whole $100 at the get go (Figuring if I hit a big hand, I want lots of chips).

My buddy waits till the break (figuring if he gets busted, he will still have chips).

The buy-in gets you 2000 chips and the add-on gets you 2500 chips.

I usually wait and see what the table does. If a few people add-on, I'm adding on too but if most do not, I may not bother.

Blinds up every 20 minutes. Didn't make in deep enough to pay attention to antes.
