Looks like you're both afraid of the flush draw on the turn. If you had raised it up on the turn, you probably would have taken the pot right there.

Since you just called his bet on the turn, calling the river was the right thing. He may have you beat with two pair, but you're getting the right price to find out.

I'll bet villian had AK and couldn't fold it to a raise on the flop.

See how awesome the blocking bet can be? It completely shuts us down this hand.

since our little discussion I've became a big fan of it. I use it so much now a days I was going to start a thread about it.

It surprising how many pots I steal when I block bet on a draw.

I never saw this post first time around.

When you say 'blocking bet', do you mean the raise on the flop?

Also, is your 'little discussion' posted for us all to see, or was it a PM?

Thirdly, did you ever start a thread on it?

No, the block bet is his bet on the turn. The pot is well over 1500 (can't be bothered to calculate)

By the turn I am afraid of the flush. Since A. a FD will play like that, and since he seen me raise is small bets, its kind of a smart play if he did hit the flush.

His blocking bet on the river is probably because he is afraid of the flush as much as me.

Our discussion was on a couple of posts, where Jauron pointed out I should have blocked bet.

Funny enough, I stopped doing it again, but then again I play much less marginal hands. But I think I'll start playing with it again.

Btw, am not sure, but I think he had KT on this one .
