AK - A re-raise 3bet or all in.
I'm guessing I'm not laying this hand down ever, so the question is raise it up to 1800 (leaving me with 1500) or push all-in.
I'm guessing if i raise it to 1800, and the other guy calls preflop, he's got to call my all-in on the flop anyway, so it's better for me to push all-in now.
Am i right? Would anyone play it differently?

And the size of the 3bet has nothing to do with what it should and should not be called.

I think it depends on your read of this player. Is he capable of raising with any two cards, or is he more likely to have a pair? Against a tight player I don't think I'd raise to 1800 or go all in, because I would know that I would have to get lucky. I would probably wait for a better spot. But if I think he is an aggressive player who can raise with anything I would go all in.
If I am not sure if AK is the best hand I would call and see a flop, and that way I can still get out if I don't catch an ace or a king. Bluffing on the flop could be an option too- if his hand doesn't improve it would be hard for him to make a call.
I don't like overplaying AK. It's called big slick for a reason.

Totally agree with Murka, call this one. If Villain seems a reasonable player, not too aggro, not too passive. You still have the CO, button and both blinds to act after you and if they fold you have position on the original raiser. If say button or CO decideds to repop this, you can either come over the top depending on what original raiser's response would be, or lay it down because you'r not looking for a flip at this juncture and still have $2700 in chips and considerable amunition to ram and jam at a better time.
