all in question !
Hi ,I have a question .
This happened today while I was playing whit my friends .
I was playing texas holdem ,in pre-flop I had a good hand and I went all in ,everyone folded except the player who was sited at my right ,e started thinking and he showed me his cards before saying if he was going call or if he was going to fold just to see my reaction to his cards, can he do that ?
Sorry for the bad English

Re: all in question !
It all depends.
The rules can differ where you play.
In a tournament for example in in Vegas and England (only places I have played) if you show your cards then your hand is deemed dead and is folded. Years ago you could show your cards to get a reaction from the player.
In cash games the rules are somewhat different as well. I tend to believe the same rules apply generally, but it really does depend on the Casino. They may have a strict policy that cards shown = folded, but I know of a few places in England where this is not strictly true.
If you are playing around with your friends for fun then I doubt there is much of a problem, do whatever you want, it's upto you lot.
