An idea...
Here's my idea to get the league moving a bit until we can orchestrate some freerolls...
We take votes on regular tournaments that are in the tournament finder section of this site. We make "League Games" a searchable criteria in the tournament finder, so it's easy to see which tournies are being played by our members. We all go and play them and a fun time will be had by all. We use some sort of scoring algorithm to rank league members within those tournies, excluding the results of non-league members. Results will be posted monthly in this forum under a locked title called "League Tournament Results". Or perhaps we use Poker League link on left sidebar (see it <-------- ?) to post results on. Whatcha think?

Good idea but I think you would have to designate 1 or perhaps 2 poker rooms for the games bcos with most places requiring a minimum $25 deposit, people are not gonna want to start accounts at many poker rooms. Definitely a good idea tho

Idea...
Okay, we only use two pokerrooms. I think UB should be one of them, since they've hosted freerolls for us in the past, we have a good working relationship with them, they have a healthy tournament life, and they're the only one to get a vote. What about the other one? PokerStars does an excellent job with tournaments. Partypoker ain't shabby either.
And Sorak, don't worry! Carson is working hard at getting some freerolls in there. We can't guarantee that they will be at one of the two league poker rooms, but hey they'll be free!
It'll take a little while before we can change the code in the tournament database to reflect league tournies. Also working out a ranking system will be a metaphorical bitch. Any ideas out there for that?
In the meantime...No Limit $5+$.25 UB 10 person Sit 'N Go sometime anyone?

Idea for ranking system:
This is simple but easy. UB uses this formula to calculate their tournament player of the month--
Your tournament score is the sum of your inverted position in all of the tournaments you have played that month. It can probably best be viewed as the sum of the number of opponents you have beaten. For example, if Player A has played in 2 tournaments this month, finished 2nd out of 30 players in the first, and 49th out of 50th in the second, the player would have a tournament score of 29: (30 – 2) + (50 – 49). As you can see, the larger the tournament, the more opportunity you have to add to your score.
I think this will do.
Count me in for Sit n Go. . . .name the time.
