Another Copag vs. Kem thread but...
are there differences between one style of Copag card vs. another style of Copag card (and the same for Kem)? I raise this issue because I just received my 2nd set of Copag's (see link)
http://casinosuppliesonline.com/Merchan ... Code=Cards
...and after giving them the once over, I can now understand why most people prefer Kem's. BUT, I have the "Copag" style Copag cards (see link)
http://www.cardsbycopag.com/product2.asp?pid=98
...and these feel better than the Paisley Kem's I have (and much better than the Copags in the first link ). Does the card texture vary from one style to the next? And those of you who prefer Kem's over Copag's, have you ever played with the Copag style cards in the second link?
I'm fishing for answers but I rank my 3 sets of cards in this order
1) Copag Style Copag's
2)Paisley Style Kem's
3)1546 Style Copag's

The Copag design is part of their "gold line" which includes bridge size, jumbo index cards with various backs. I thought the name gold line referred to the different style backs but it's possible that it refers to the card quality itself. I do doubt it, though, because the gold line wholesales at the same price as all the others and it has the exact same shipping weight per case.
