Anyone Use ClubWPT.Com?
Now that I'm locked out of the online sites I've been looking at ClubWPT.Com but I'm having a hard time figuring it out. The info is spread out around a bunch of pages.
Does anyone use this site? Is it worth the time to join?

I was wondering the same. I guess I'll have to do some research. Well, it's not like research time is going to interfere with my poker playing. For the record, Zynga is just not cutting it any more. It sufficed for about 20 minutes, but is worse than playing for play money on Party was all those years ago.

Re: Anyone Use ClubWPT.Com?
I just spent half an hour or so exploring the ClubWPT site. Without having used it, it strikes me as a Play Money site on steroids. They seem to specialize in fairly large tournys and a ladder satellite system for building up to a few big prizes. I saw one back handed mention of single table tournys but no mention of SnGs. They also mentioned ring games with some kind of chip structure that replenishes every night, so that doesn't seem too inviting.
They offer a 2-week free trial and Mike Sexton has been touting a code that will extend it to four weeks.
Damn, I miss Stars. For the first time in my life I feel oppressed by my government.

Here is an inquiry I sent to ClubWPT and their automated response. I have not received a direct response four days from my original response. Note the phrasing in the last sentence of the first paragraph

My schedule does not permit playing in large multi table tournaments very often (if at all) but I enjoy playing smaller tournys that can finish in under two hours. Can you tell me how frequently such tournys are scheduled on the Club site or whether you have sit and go tournys with limited seating that will meet my needs?

We have received your inquiry and are assigning it to a representative. You can expect to receive a response from us within very timely fashion.

Re: Anyone Use ClubWPT.Com?
ClubWPT.Com finally replied to my question with a completely lame response:
I had already seen this page before writing and since it didn't address the questions I had I wrote. The answer was totally lame, not like the really world class service I received from PS Support.
I can tell you that ClubWPT just dropped off my list.

Re: Anyone Use ClubWPT.Com?
I have no experience with ClubWPT myself. I can only imagine they'll gain a slight lift from the poker crackdowns. Sites like this one will begin replacing their old pokerstars and full tilt adds with clubwpt ads to make up for lost revenue. I added some clubwpt ads in our banner rotation. If any of you guys click through and sign up with them, please let me know what you think. The ads can be found on non-forum pages, on the right side of the site. Try the homepage.
I'm going to register as well and see how I like it. I'm guessing it will be worth the $20 in entertainment alone, but we'll see.

Golden, did you ever sign up with these folks? Any insights?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Re: Anyone Use ClubWPT.Com?
Just a second hand update on ClubWPT.Com. I ran into a guy at the local card room (where "local" is relative to Las Vegas, not to be confused with "convenient") who uses ClubWPT.Com. He said he enjoyed it and that they do have SnGs. Still not motivated to try it.
