AQ-nl$!00 6 max- hows my line?

Postby Ciso_B » Mon Jul 28, 2008 2:54 am GMT

About an hour into playing, I am up a bit just picking my spots getting a feel etc. The raiser is one of the most agressive pf in this game but pretty poor post flop and the caller is loose/passive and my only notes really are that when he min bets post flop he'll always fold to a re raise and he doesn't exercise position well if at all.

PokerStars Game #19161650388: Hold'em No Limit ($0.50/$1.00) - 2008/07/28 - 02:44:44 (ET)
Table 'Ekard' 6-max Seat #3 is the button
Seat 1: mazga ($93 in chips)
Seat 2: Chrisinjo ($116.05 in chips)
Seat 3: lledney ($196.50 in chips)
Seat 4: madeinvn ($118.05 in chips)
Seat 5: Neab ($129.25 in chips)
Seat 6: klyons7 ($91.65 in chips)
madeinvn: posts small blind $0.50
Neab: posts big blind $1
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Neab [As Qc]
klyons7: raises $3 to $4
mazga: folds
Chrisinjo: folds
lledney: folds
madeinvn: calls $3.50
Neab: calls $3
*** FLOP *** [Jc 8d Qd]
madeinvn: bets $3
Neab: raises $7 to $10
klyons7: folds
madeinvn: calls $7
*** TURN *** [Jc 8d Qd] [7c]
madeinvn: checks
Neab: bets $18
madeinvn: calls $18
*** RIVER *** [Jc 8d Qd 7c] [6d]
madeinvn: checks
Neab: checks

So there is the hand, my thoughts on flop were I didn't want to flat and not know where I was at, so I re pop him right away. Raiser passes , he flats. Now I feel pretty confident, I have the tptk,he would most probably re re raise if he had a straight or a set for fear of being outdrawn. Turn I bet about 2/3 of the pot, then a diamond comes and I just don't feel I should value bet..I've had the lead all hand and he could definitely check a 2 pair or flush hand on river. Remembering he's loose passive he could have some Q-7s ,Q-6s,or J8...

Thoughts?

I like squeezing Pre here. As played I bet 21$ on riv, I like to go pretty thin with these guys, and fold to resistance, I think theres still value

feels like you're ahead here. i go ahead and bet river, unless you know this guy to be SUPER passive rather then just a calling station donk who can't let go of second pair, or tpgk.

i'd value bet this river too... especially against these kind of opponents.
