Arrrgh!

Postby PuckJunkieNY » Fri Apr 02, 2004 10:23 am GMT

So I'm playing this 5.00 + .50 NL SNG last night at UB.
It's down to 5 of us left I'm 4th in stack w/about 850 TC and on the BB.

I get AJo everyone limps-in (blinds @ 30/60 i believe) I raise it 200. JA is not my favorite, but at this point it looks OK if I can push a few off seeing the flop. 2 players do drop out.....OK

Flop comes: 2 9 J rainbow...I like it.

It's checked to me, I go all-in. I wanna make them pay to see if they can hit their K Q or whatever, and with the Ace kicker I feel OK.

1 guy folds and the other waits....waits....15 second warning.... he calls (#3 stack, about 1100 TC).

Turn = rag ...I think7....cool

River = Q....*gulp*

Are hole cards are turned...

F*cker flips 9 Q to make his two pair. :evil:

Jesus Freakin Chrysler!
How the hell could he call my all-in with pair of 9's after I raised pre-flop?
I had not bluffed anything earlier on my 4 previous hands won. My stlye was broadcast clearly as tight-aggressive and I showed my winning hands on the only two that did not go to a showdown. I'll do that to show I play only good hands strong....and use it to set up later bluffs...but was not this time.

Would you have played it differently maybe?
I would do the same again.

Mostly it's just cathartic to write this stuff down and get out of my mind for good. Thanks for listening to me bitch.

I've come to expect that Sh*t from time to time.

What really burns my toast is very early in that SNG that same dork went all in on a FLOP of:
rag, rag Q

I had: Q, T

I'm like....my kicker is beat or he hit two pair, maybe possible trips with a low poket pair. I fold, some other dude called.

Nope...River was rag....Showdown he flips Q 9, other dude Q 6

He wins QQ9XX

F**khead!

OK, I 'm done bitching about this SNG.
