ASM Custom Order - Please Comment

Postby Burkie » Mon Jun 20, 2005 12:26 am GMT

I have a pretty regular game (6-10 players) We usually play a tourney and each throw 20 bucks in and then get 2k - 3k in chips. We start the blinds at $25 and $50 and double them at a set interval (every 1/2 hr or so).

I am going to buy 500 ASM custom ships and I am thinking of doing a $50 chip. Is that normal? Is there a traditional color? Also I am likely going to have a $1000 chip. What is the traditional color for that?

Here is an image (although poor) of the colors and artwork I am working on. I was going for an Irish theme in the first set of colors and just colors I like in the second set. What do you guys prefer?

I think I am going to change the writing to Burke's Casino and add the denominations on the bottom... Any suggestions?

Here is a better pic of the artwork

Set 1
25 Green / DG Peach
50 DG Yellow / Green
100 Black / DG Green
500 Purple / Lt green
1000 DG Green / Imp Blue

Set2
25 Green / DG peach
50 Blue / Arc Yellow
100 Black / Imp Blue
500 Purple / DG Green
1000 Arc yellow / DG yellow

Thanks,
Sam

I would consider forgetting about the $50 chip, it's only double the 25 and half the 100. Not enough spread in-between. Besides with your blind structure you can color up after 2 rounds anyway

You could start with a stack of 25's and a stack of 100's. $2500 right in your starting range.

I prefer the 2nd set of colors, too much green might blend into each other.

Also like the idea of denoms on the bottom. Maybe in red.

Please lose the POKER and stick to Sammy's Pub.

Like your choice for $1000 chip, but don't think it will get too much use, but if you must go ahead.

Sorry if I'm rambling.

Good Luck,

Bear

Bear, thanks for replying.

Yeah, I hear you about the $50 chip but I wanted to have more color on the table and where we don't use $1 or $5 chips, I don't have a lot of denomination options for added color chips. You are right about the $1k chip. I am only going to get 25 just so I can have another cool color.

As far as the colors I thought that the green in the first group may give it a themed look, sort of a matched set.

If you did:

200 $25
200 $100
100 $500

Then you would have enough for 25 players to each start with $3000 in chips and have it all divide evenly.

8 - 25
8 - 100
4 - 500

Here's how I did a 500 chip set
200 - $25 chips
225 - $100 chips (25 of the 225 are for color ups)
50 - $500 chips (20 of the 50 are for color ups)
25 - $1000 chips (15 of the 25 are for color ups)

I will hand out the following chips per player (up to 10 players) for a T5000 tounrament:
20 - $25 = $500
20 - $100 = $2,000
3 - $500 = $1,500
1 - $1000 = $1,000
44 chips and $5,000 per player

Total in play for a 10 person tourney:
200 - $25 = $5000
200 - $100 = $20,000
30 - $500 = $15,000
10 - $1000 = $10,000
440 chips and $50,000

Chips remaining for color ups:
25 - $100 = $2,500
20 - $500 = $$10,000
15 - $1000 = $15,000
60 chips and $27,500

I like to have a nice number of chips (at least 40) for each player to start out with so this set up works well for me.

You definately don't need a $50 chip.

Also, for your mockup pics, check out this app:

http://homepage.mac.com/jchotiner/asm/asm.htm

And check out my chips: http://www.texasholdem-poker.com/forum/ ... -asm-chips

I used a photo to do my mockups because the colors look better than the chip application's colors:

Stevea - I have seen your pics before, nice job I like them, very simple and classy. As far as the Mockup generator it doesn't have DG colors for body choices and the colors are closer but still off. I tried to look at the pics that people have posted to get an idea of what they will really look like.

Which set of colors do you guys like better?

What do you think about the logo?

With the $50 chip I can give people more colors and I can play with a larger group easier beacause it is like having double the amount of $25 chips.

The mockup generator does have day glow colors but some of them (ie: orange) are way off. The link to the picture of the circle square posted are the best representation of colors in an image that I have.

I think the logo looks very nice! The graphics look fancy, but it's not too busy looking.

I'm not a big fan of all your colors (just my personal taste...), but I do like the green/orange and purple/light green.
