Bad beat last night in WSOP Qualifier on Paradise...

THAT SUCKS!!!

but there was a semi-happy ending... I was unable (through a website glitch) to rebuy or add-on at the break... Paradise refunded my buy in... so it was free experience and practice... and I'm confident that if I play this well next time... I'll be around a lot longer unless I get sucked out on again...

That's some seriously weak play on their parts it seems. The one guy raising so much in first pos when you already showed strength is questionable, but I guess he put you on AK AQ. The other guy has no business in there. I can't believe that's a buy in for WSOP. I thought the play would be to a higher standard. You seem to be much better than them though. Keep at it, you'll take them down eventually.

Well I'm sorry that happened to you, you were certainly correct to call but I have to wonder...what in the bloody heck was the guy doing in there with an inside straight draw?

Its always the god damned Jacks, i swear man. 4 of the last 5 times my AA has been busted a jack has been in the guys hand.
J7,J8, JJ and even J3. Always calling oversize pre-flop bets.

I think the other guy was just as bad as the guy with the inside straight. First of all he called with just a suited connector. I think it's a questionable call to begin with. But then, all he makes is top pair and NO possibility of a draw and decides to semi-bluff I guess. I mean, you're looking for draws with that hand, not top pair with a crappy kicker (wouldn't bet my stack on queen). I'm really not sure what he's doing there. Kind of dumb to bluff someone from early position when that person already showed strenght preflop and acts behind you. Guess he didn't believe you.

well... last night in a 5 dollar multi-table tourney... about 550 entrants...

I bust someone else's Aces... so I feel better...

I'm on the tall stack all night... I'm in the top ten for most of the first hour and a half of the tourney...

I get 9-10 suited on the button, and decide to play it if no-one raises pre-flop... well one guy raises all in and no one has called him by the time it gets to me...

I think I had about 13 thousand... at the time... and he had 3 grand...

well... I just decided that he probably had two unpaired high cards... and I had a connecter that could fit on either side of the straight...and I was just gonna use my tall stack to try to out draw him...

he flips over aces... but sure enough... the flop comes 7-8-3

the turn is a 6 and his aces are busted!!!

Poker Karma was giving me the payback for busting my aces in the other tourney....

by the way... I finished in the money... but just barely...
