Bad Dealer
Today i played with some friends at a public place. I was dealer, and delt 9
4
to this guy and he ended up losing. Next hand he claims he has the exact same hand (....but it was 9
4
.....) he demands a re-deal, another player annouces he has the same exact hand again ( i didnt see his cards so i dunno ), but another protests ( he has poket kings ) saying we should just keep playing...... Even though i was pretty sure i shuffled the deck thoroughly, i ended up getting some people pissed. How would the rules work for this?

From what it sounds like you didnt do anything wrong at all, and it was a perfectly fine deal. You should continue playing the hand as if it were a normal hand. Those players were just upset because they got bad hands, and are in a sense cheating by demanding a redeal just because they are dealt similar cards to the last hand.

thats why you should always offer a "cut" to the player on your right. If he turns it down, then you can deal. By doing this he is acknowledging your shuffle and no protests could be made.

and to add to that...
Think of how you would have to arrange the cards for them to get the exact same cards again. They would have to hand you one card at a time and start with the last card dealt and go around the table backwards in order to have the cards ordered in that manner. I'm pretty sure they didnt do that and cards were mucked as a pair, and not one at a time.
