Bad ruling?
Here is how the last hand of the most recent APPT event held in the Philippines:
"Michael raised to 150,000 from the button, and after some consideration Im pushed in 150,000 to presumably call, not taking into account that the dealer had already pulled in her 50,000 big blind. The tournament director was called over, and he made the decision that Im should be bound to making a minimum-raise."
That looks like a horrible ruling to me. If she had pushed out 175,000 chips then fine because she's half way to a min-raise but her total chips in play were 200,000 which I would not say should constitute a forced raise.
In the end she min-raised, her opponent shoved and she called with A6 to beat his 55 so it worked out and she was crowned the first ever female APPT winner but still!

Re: Bad ruling?
Was it a mistake, or a cunning way to get all his chips in. I just don’t think things happen accidentally all the time in poker. If she thought she was raising and just got the amount wrong, the pit boss would have said it was call. If they had been playing with big single chips over the raise amount and threw one out without announcement, it would be deemed a call. I think it’s a call. Don’t tell the girls it took a mistake to get a female to commit her chips to become the first APPT champion.

Re: Bad ruling?
I really hate it when dealers scoop up the blinds before dealing. They used to do it in my local card room so essentially you'd have 10 players sat there with no bet in front of them and a dealer with a SB+BB in front of him prior to the deal. They have stopped now probably due to situations like this!
