Bankroll Question

I'm just wondering every one's opinion on this.
How much money would you say I'd need to deposit on PS to make a legitimate attempt to build a bankroll.
I'm talking about grinding out the 1/2 cent blinds.

I'm working with minimum funds, so I'm asking what the minimum amount you would start with.

I know $10 is too low, but $50 more than I can afford right now being a college student.

So is it feasible with say $20?

Well a 1c-2c game would have a buy-in of $2.

I think most people would say you want 20-30 BIs.

So $40 to $60.

i know this is good poker bank roll management and you should stick to the book. But i think (im sure many will disagree

) at micro stakes if you're just playing to test the water and have a bit of fun 15 or even 10 buy-ins is fine. It gets you playing and if you have the most disastrous run of bad luck and bust out - Its only 20 bucks.

[edit] but if you want to play seriously and not just have a splash about but intend to build a BR. It can be really demoralising grinding out a bank roll for cents at a time. If your comfortable playing, pull a night a week in a bar for month (meet some cool people and probably get some free beer) and deposit a modest $200 instead and skip 1 year of grinding out pennies.

Bankroll management doesn't mean much when you can't afford the smallest stakes. Deposit what you can, play the smallest stakes and see how you do.

Do not move up until you are rolled for the next level.

If you really can't afford 50$ getting a job for more than 1 day is probably a good idea.

I have a job, but I'm paying for tuition for college and I can hardly afford it.
