BEGINNER HERE AND LOSING MONEY NEED HELP!!!
Hello everyone, I am a beginner texas holdem no limit newbie and need some serious help perhaps anyone here can shine some light in the tunnel for me? First here is my skill level and the game I usually play at the casino. I play 1-2 100 buy in (casino table game) I understood table position, usually hands that I play are late position and maybe sometimes middle position, any early position if I don't have high pair or or monster I fold. When I do get monster I do bet agressively sometimes to a point that I am out of chips. I will consider myself a 2 card poker player or preflop poker player at this time since I don't usually bet at turn or river. So that is I am doing so far. I tend to check alot. So my question is this: I usually see guys and the end of their game sessions and they ending up filling up their chip racks and I have to wonder will I ever have those days? I either double up say sitting there 3 hours if I'm lucky or lose all my chips. Am I playing way too tight? or Am i playing way too many hands??? Post flop plays I have no skill in that whatsoever....anyway i know I am missing some strategic information for sure because I have so far never triple up ever. It is either double or broke. And now it is leaning toward broke. Any way thanks for reading and I would appreaciate some advice or perhaps a recommendation of books on strategic levels? Like post flop, turn, river,,,since I never go all the way to the river yet. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum John.
Unfortunatley, poker is not an easy game to make money from. If it was we would all be doing it!
I have read your post and understand you concerns, how ever you have raised hundreds of issues.
I think the best thing for you to do is post a few hands both winning and losing hands (each one in a new thread) and let the forum advise.
If your over all play seems reasonable maybe we then need to address other issues like reading players, learning player types, table image, etc etc.
However, by describing you as a '2 card poker player' i'm guessing we need to work on that first.
Also, don't be scared to search old threads and ask questions about them. There's hand histories going back years.
Once again, welcome to the forum

I would suggest you read a book like Getting Started in Hold'em by Ed Miller. That will cover a lot of the basics better than I could within a post or two, because you have a lot of questions that are a lot harder to answer than you might think.

Mostly what Jimmer said, there's a ton of resources on this site, post specific questions when you have them.
Also use the enter key to write in paragraphs. I think you'll find that people are more likely to read (and thus respond to) something that's easy for them to look over, rather than one huge paragraph.
Welcome, hope you get something out of the site.

I would recommend opening an online account somewhere so you can continue your education with cheaper buy-ins. In addition, you'll accelerate the process due to the number of hands you'll see in a shorter period of time.

Welcome to the forums,
Alot of the questions you have asked are what get asked by tons of people and no real defined answer you can from a post or two. Starting with a book I think is your best choice. ALso if you havent yet, deposit on a site, play some ring games to get your experience up.
