Best poker site for tournaments?
Simple question I guess. I want to try me skills tournament style. Right now I play at Pacific Poker, which has no tournaments so I need a new site.
I'm looking for a site that you can get in a tournament pretty much anytime you'd like. That would be nice. Thanks in advance.

Hey:
Pokerstars has many no limit touneys. Thay also have 9 and 18 person sit and go NL tourneys which are a nice way to start out.
UB also has pretty good tourneys, although I have found that there are usaully more people on Poker Stars, thus, sit and go's fill up more quickly.
Either of these two sites would be an excellent choice. Hope this helps

PokerStars has tournaments ALL the time. The great thing about them is that there are at least 4 FREE NL Holdem tournaments a day, so if you're boning up on your skills, you can do it at no cost.
I want to start playing at UB but I HATE the way it looks, PokerStars is bright and appealing and gives you an avatar so people remember you and you remember them.
Those are the best from what I hear though.

You could try Victor Chandler poker. Single table tournaments seem to start every five minutes or so when the site is busy (5pm-midnight UK time). Funding in Dollars or Sterling

Alternatively, as a new convert to UB, I can recommend them - if only bacause play seems to be about twice as fast as everywhere else.

Pokerstars is best for NL tourneys, but PacificPoker is developing their tournament software right now... should be out soon so keep your eyes open.

Hey Neek, thats just my opinion. I used to play tourneys at UB, tried a few at truepoker and partypoker, but I like pokerstars the most for tourneys for a few reasons:
1. More players. This means bigger prizes for the final table. I love that.
2. More tournaments. They seem to have an endless list of tournaments throughout the day (I know this because I put them into the tournament database here a while ago, and it took forever)
3. More fish. This last point is just a feeling. I have no way to validate that, but with Moneymaker winning the WSOP and the attention it brought pokerstars, I have a feeling alot of new players were drawn to that cardroom and they're stocking up the tournament rosters nicely.

Oh, hehe. Sorry, thought you were asking about pokerstars.
I heard about PacificPoker's tournament software from some people fairly high up at Pacific. Its true... they just don't have a date yet. As soon as its launched, though, we're going to be announcing it like crazy. (You're right, its going to be a cash cow for good tournament players)
