Better Hand Flush

Postby jepatte » Sun Sep 12, 2004 6:06 pm GMT

When two players have a flush and an Ace of that flush suit is a community card, is the winner decided by the next highest card and so on?

ie. Community Cards, AS, QS, TS, 9S, 4C
Player 1: 8S, 5C
Player 2: 7S, 3C

Is the winner player 1, since he has the higher Spade or is this a split?

Thanks
jepatte

Player one wins, you go down the cards from high to low rank until someone has a better one than the other player. Only if all 5 community cards make the best flush does the pot split in this situation.
