Betting Question in Limit Hold Em
It is a dumb question, but im just wondering whether you can do this:
If I am the first person to bet in a round of betting, and everyone else calls, am i able to raise my initial bet another increment when the betting comes back around? Can you do this for as many raises as the game will allow (ie. 3 raises total)?
I am just confused by this. Is this what the dealer in the casino is indicating when they say you have "option"?

You can't raise your own bet. If no one raised you, when it gets back to you it's raked in the pot. The option question is when it's pre-flop and it gets around to the big blind and no one has raised. He has the option to riase out of the big blind or check and see the flop.
