blinds battle mtt hand

Postby Ciso_B » Thu Feb 05, 2009 11:14 pm GMT

I really didn't fancy giving up the K7s in position for so small a raise. But do you think my lien post flop is ok?
BTW, i almsot checked back on turn, cos I know i really only getting action if im beat. But I really hated the idea of checking back and letting him get there etc. So Since my plan was to flat then take away on turn , Idecided to follow through. Then he comes ott on turn, and tbh I kinda thought he was weak. But didn't know the player well enough to make a crazy/hero call.Thoughts?

Looks like a fairly standard failed float attempt to me. I don't have a problem with your line. How often are you 3-bet stealing preflop here?

Not often tbh. People don't fold that much in these kind of spots online,if he is indeed weak , I may have a chance to do something post flop.Plus its a good spot for him to just move in after i reraise, such are the stack sizes.
Maybes its a leak ,i dunno, but I rarely re raise before flop in this spot.

I'm not saying it's a leak, I'm just curious. I would think his range here would be somewhat dependent on what he thinks your likely range is here (wow, that's such a ridiculously self-evident statement) for a call/call/bet line. A 6 has got to enter his mind at some point.

I see no reason what so ever to bet this turn if you guys have no history once you hit.

In fact, I think checking back this turn and firing most river rep a made hand better then betting this turn. Think how you'd play 55/44 on this spot.

btw, his line doesn't make any sense and I might just look it up...

I like a turn check back too, and i was thinkin to myself after, if he is weak, why bet turn, just check back, then call river enit. But for some reason i played the hand like i planned on the flop.
