Like a virginA blog huh? I've never had one before.
Alright I'll give it a shot since I'm so popular on the net. I started playing poker just before the craze took our society over a few years ago. I started playing with friends, not really knowing what I was doing. I won my first tournament due to luck and never looked back. I also tried my hand online at Party long before I was prepared to do so, and got lucky then too. I turned 50 bucks into about 800, but ever since then its been downhill. I took a long time off once I moved to the greatest spot on Earth, aka the Happy Valley. Now since summer has rolled around and I am once again left with nothing to do in suburban Cleveland, I'm about to begin with some bonus whoring and eventually a mix of ring games and MTTs. As a poker player I have always been strongly influenced by my surroundings and seem to take everything at face value (not good). I am the definition of an emotional roller coaster. Ill cash into a site knowing full well I will be serious about playing tightly and patiently this time around, and then the different styles of play I see will coarse me to altering my style and I'll eventually lose it. However it seems that I have developed some sort of maturity since I moved to college and so I hope I can get a hold of my pitfalls of the past and use them to my advantage. Specifically, keeping book, hunting for optimal game situations, and longer sittings will be my focus. I used to have this idea that being a good online poker player meant making hundereds of bucks a day at the NL25 and never having a losing session. Hopefully my ideas about the online game are more sound now. Like I said, I dont know much about this blogging fad and it seems to me that its just an extension of the forums and an excuse to rant about nothing. Please comment on whether or not im following proper blogging suit. Thats all for now, we'll see how long I can keep this going. cheech I bet 10...
