New blog!Yay! I'm back to blogging after...hmm...a year. Been some uneventful times recently and not much happening on the pokerfront.
I did set a new personal best for stacking off in a livegame with 6 stacks gone in about 1.5 hours, which was cool. Apart from that I played some micro stakes online with some free cash from tribeca which was also fun. No major hands really, but a few fun ones. Bluffed an ultra-aggro TAG with 3-betting 35s on 837 flop, he claimed to have folded nines. Not really that interesting except the dude was REALLY tight and had a postflop aggro factor of like...12. That's ridiculously sucky. Got FSP and imagined a blind battle that didn't exist. Damn NLers shuck. Did alot of 'call any reasonable raise pre/float anything on the flop' bluffs on the button vs a complete lagtard, which worked nicely. and some geek tried to bluff me of my BB special KT on a 9T22 board by shoving all in on the turn giving me 3:1. Quality. 1 Comment Viewed 56 times Party reload, woohooYay, I withdrew from Trident cause frankly the software sucks and clearing half the bonus was enough. Ran good at 0.5/1 6-max and broke even 1/2 full ring, earned good on NL20 6-max but didn't play it much. Played a little NL50 and sat down in a 3/6NL game just for kicks, mostly boring stuff. So now I redeposit to clear the party reload and will be playing strictly FL 1/2. Haven't played much, but it is looking good and running at 5BBs/100 so far, no real interesting hands actually. I guess I'll clear this thing soonish and then take a little break from poker. 0 Comments Viewed 56 times Fun hand > RantSo instead of ranting, let's go through some fun hands from my last livegame...weeeh. SNG type-o thingy. still 100BBs for most...I'm in the BB with 65o and button raises, since he is normally an FL player (Flers are very often far too aggro for NL) I call. Flop is 652, I donk, button pushes, I call...button shows 78...turn 7, river 6. Ship it over FL boy. I guess I broke the whole play tight early on thingy, but what the hell, right? Second SNG hand type thingy. About 50BB stacks, most similar I think. SB is ok, BB is a donk. I got AQ in the CO an bump it 3x...get 2 callers from the blinds. Flop A J 8 w/two spades...SB checks, BB checks I bet, SB pushes, BB calls and I call since I'm an expert. Both show two spades, turn is the queen of spade. River bricks. Thanks alot flushboys. SB won it since he had the nut-draw. And an FL hand...hahumm. We're 5 handed and I get KQo on the button. I bet, BB calls. Flop is J 7 4 two spades. Sweeet. Checks to me, I bet, BB calls. ... Like now recently I've redepoed what was left of my bankroll and started grinding it out. No big problems there, I have played like...2k-3k hands and gone from 550$ -> 800$. But I was planning to play alot more hands, now I just play a max of...300-500 hands now and then...which is nothing. Which makes me wonder if I should ever bother with going 'semi-pro' and gun for getting rolled the higher stakes, but my problem is that I don't know if I actually want a hobby/life that involves sitting in front of my computer mindlessly playing poker alot of hours every damn day. Poker is fun, poker is interesting and I know enough of myself to know that compared to most, I am by now a good player...but I'm seriously starting to doubt if I have the mentality needed to grind this game out for hours on end. Well, I'm just raving on some thoughts that blur to my head...enough is enough. 0 Comments Viewed 55 times FL Cooler, but I win some backPlayed in our weekly live FL game once again, plus we played a couple of small tourneys. Won one tourney pretty easy and busted out of the other with the best of it, can't complain. Played some live FL after that and got seriosuly pwned by the turn and river. I set a record for AKs broken in one live game when my 6th of 8 dealt AK-hands got demolished. It was a weird session, it got an immense amount of powerhouse hands preflop but they just didn't hold up. :) Alot of bad beats and some tilt, and I was quickly down about 60 big bets. Scraped it back up to a 20 big bet loss with a nicely timed set, a flushdraw that kicked in, a nice suckout on KK with QT and a couple of nice rivercalls. So with the tourney win a miniscule loss for the night. Can't complain, still a big winner in this game but the session really put some strain on me, due to incredible amount of 2-4 outers I got hit with, still it was a nice test of resilience I guess. 0 Comments Viewed 55 times |
