Just got back from the casino after playing the £10 rebuy with Aelred. We knew this is one of the worst competitions the casino has to offer , but we aint played live in a while so what the hell.
121 runners, cheap to rebuy - dont expect many great players in this comp. I ended rebuy hour with above average , post rebuy I took a dent when i lost with A-A playing it slow heads up and lettin my opponent catch a flush. Then 9-9 vs a gambler with 10-7 who spikes trip 7s. I stayed short stacked for ages , down to 18 I had Q-Q tho and beat A-K to put me just below average lol.Final table I had 40,000 average was like 66k. I tell ya, this final table was a dream....They didnt play back at me once.Every time I saw a flop I think I bet and won. I ran 40k into around 220k before I called a min riase from the sb with 6-7h, and made a convicted call of his all in on flop of 7-2-3. That put me chip leader, I made it to heads up (against mr 10-7 who had like 20 lives this mtt), I knew he was loose and decided I was gonna play as many flops with him as possible, unless I had a big pair then Id riase pre flop.
I took the majority of pots post flop , he had a few allins before the flop which I folded to on every occasion I beleive.Then I doubled him up, A-Q in sb ,I flat call (i gonna be oop post flop and know hes calling a raise), Flop falls 10-10-J, I check he bets $50k into $90k....now this guy is a freak, he pushes all in evertyime he hits a monster , So I "know" he doesnt have a 10. I dont wanna just call here and let the pot swell and guess on turn or river, and if he has the Jack and calls an all in , then I still have 10 cards to hit twice....SO I move allin, he calls with J-2 and hits another J.
HE takes the chip lead, and after allins galore on both parts but no call we end up all in , I push QJ he has A-2 and holds up. £630 was nice though. I played very well tonight in a field of bad players which is almost harder for me lol. I am happy cos I adjusted to my tables better then I usually would. I played some nice post flop play on FT which I feel deserved me the win but eh, 2nd will do.
One hand in particular i feel i played well was. Q-2 in bb, sb completes I check. Flop 2s-7h-Kh. He fires $60k into $60k, I consider my options and re raise another $60k, He thinks for a bit and calls. Turn 6h, He checks, I push , and he passes.This was a huge pot at the time and felt I played him well. I reckon he had a 7 and tried two pairing or making trips - while also hopin Id shut down on turn.

I have been playing here and there online lately but have been falling asleep during alot of my mtts :( , Its ridiculous I know but its true. Last night I fell asleep during the $100k !! $162 buy in and i fall asleep. Tonight I am doing the $55k , I should do well If I am focused...but who knows if I ll stay awake lol.
Last time I checked I was 128 on pocket 5s leaderboard and crappy in ps leaderboard like 450th or something.
Guess I ll have to win another rebuy to put me back in the mix :).
