Okay, maybe my title entry is a bit harsh. But I've played like 8 tourneys the last 2/3 days which is alot for me and I not hit one FT or nice score. I came like 36th in the Sunday Warm up for $1k and nothin else since in the way of even reasonable scores.

I aint gonna whine about luck or whatever this post though, I realised today I am a little off form, playing hands bit poorly and taking lines in hands im taking with no reason which imo is one of the most important factors in poker.

Take today for instance, I entered a $55 6 handed tourney. Level 1, I draw a table with ComeOnPhish (no 1 online player last few months) , and 4 other randoms, I get 10-10 and he limps under the gun, I make it $75 (bb $20) , He calls they pass. Flop falls 8c 9s 3c, He checks, I lead for $125 , He throws out a minimum riase...Now I decided If I was playing the hand it would be all in or fold and quickly decided to move all in even though I was HATED the fact I was check riased here.

Its level 1, I know hes a strong player so he isnt gonna get cute already, so hes got AA/KK ,89 suited, or 3-3 here. ALL of which have me beat, I think I made a very elimentary mistake here and realise I am making errors.
Now I noticed it , maybe I can turn around and start playing well again.

I havent been playing the rebuys the last 2 months really and the tourneys I enter are leaving us with little room to play past the 3rd/4th level so I notice alot of the time I am down to 1,500 or less from my 2,000 stack without really doing much.

I have to adjust my tournament game a bit.


Tourneys I aside I decided to play Supafrey tonight heads up for a bit , hes always a good sport and I thought Id focus tonight for once when i play him since aelred has been twisting me about the fact im down on our sessions.

Well we start out nl $100 and I do a buy in Q-Q vs AA all in pre flop , dang...then I find K-8 on a 8-6-2 flop and end up in again this time vs his 99... I decide to move the stakes up to $200 and not get caught out in this pots, but cant help losing some cash with 10-5 on a 10 high flop then decide f*ck it, I am gonna change my strat a bit.


So I begin to raise every hand small pre flop from the button and play prudent from the bb more. This actualy works out well and I pull close to even when I get 5s9s and flop comes 9 9 2, check check, I lead the turn and he re raises me, J turn, I flat call him and very wisely just call on the river when an 8 drops dissapointed but also amused at the sight of his 2-2.


I reckon we ll play again tonight cos to be honest, I think if we log plenty and plenty of hours,I ll see profit for sure, Will it be alot compared to the randoms I could be beatin ? Unlikely tbh, cos Pav pushes his 50-50s and 60-40s give or take and wins them , but I like the challenge, hopefully it keeps me sharper, and I think I am better still.
