Not much to tell regarding poker bar yesterdays trip with Aelred to nottingham. We went intending on staying on a few days.

We arrived and decided we'd play the 20 with 2 rebuys competition. Before the tournament Aelred offered me a cigarette he proclaimed to be lucky because it was the 1st one he picked from the pack ,he turned it upside down for a time when he might need some luck. I personally dont beleive such things but found it amusing nonetheless.

End of rebuy I had less then average, I had however played quite well. One hand, I had 8s9c, limped in late after several limpers. Flop fell 6c7s4c. Someone bet 500 and 2 people called so I called also in position with my straight draw. Turn was 10c, bringing me nut straight but a flush possible. check, a bet of 1,500 anda re raise of 2,000. I passed and was up against Ac2c so good fold.
Another , I had Ad9s in sb. Flop came down 5d6d7d, I checked into 4 people. They checked behind. Turn 8d, I checked again someone with 2k bet 1k which was reasonable, then button called. I passively called and river came 8 , I was sure noyone had a boat but decided to check. I felt guy who bet turn had Qd and button had a straight flush. Short stack checked and button bet 3k , I decided to fold the other called with Jd4s, the other guy had 4d for straight flush.

Post rebuy i played agressively but got lucky 2 times before making final table. One key hand was late on when I had Kh10h raised in mp 7 handed got a call from sb. Flop came 9d 4d 2s, het bet a modest 10k , with 38k on me I re raised all in as the pot was very worth it, my pre flop raise alone was 16k and his call and antes made pot big. I also read him for very weak and even if called felt I was very live. He eventually made a good call with 6-6 but I rivered a 10. Then close to the bubble I had A-A and played it very well to extact a nice pot. (blinds are huge!). I arrived at the FT in 3rd place with $178,000 average being like $100,000. I ended up finishin 3rd for 650.00 pounds. I felt very ill throughout final table and was card dead to boot. I raised the first 4 pots, one AKh losing to 2 shorts stacks with QQ and 44 and after a few blind steals I was very uneventful. I busted out pushing in blind from the button 3 handed and lost with 56 vs QJ. I am relatively happy with my performance, but realise luck aided my ft this time. I also was a little disapointed that we had to come home today as tonights competition is the best one of the week usually, but Aelred had family coming home for a day so I fully understood.

I will be playing a bit of online now that I got my wireless setup again at home, so hopefully I can tell of some nice scores before i return to university.
