Final EntryHey guys, Just finished a really long and draining session with Pavel. (supafrey.) Think he beat for like $500 today? Might be wrong on the number.
Basically the story goes,I go on IRC alot and we chat, joke around alot etc. But Pav always insisting im nothing more then a lucky player. Which bothered me a bit but i brush it off, lately as you well know I have beenr unning very poorly and busting out deep in big tourneys , so I asked him again lately to stop calling me it. He carried on though, so I couldnt bite my tongue longer and had to let him know what I thought. Pav is an agressive player, but I seriously question his style , his post flop and pre flop maneovering. I come from a more deliberate style and am a thinking player. This guy, plays every pot with no regard to position it seems, raises and won stop raising even if called . Now , if you get called post flop bluffing you should shutdown, this guy will dig and dig a massive hole for himself, sometimes his bluffs work , other times they wont. I find it hard to beleive he can consistently make alot of money at this game, cos if it was a cash game you merely have to wait for a hand, then check call and he ll bluff it all of. I played him 3 times heads up and beat him everytime for $300 then yesterday took a furhter $200. Today he played agressively and i got him down then he would grind up stealing etc which was good, then I found AA hit trips on flop and ran into his flush. Then I got him all in for a $900 pot...77 vs his AK. he hit a fh, that left me with very little , like $70 I got back up to like $350 or something when the following hand occured. I had 78 called his raise, flop 10 9 4, i called a flop bet. Turn J, he c/rs me which can be a wide range of hands like 10 9,J9,J10,44,AJ,overpair etc. I decided to go for value since i know he cant lay a hand downa nd move all in. He insta calls and shows KQ. And kaboom im done. He is not a terrible player but he certainly isnt one I aspire to play like or fearful of despite his agressive nature. Anyway forget all that, I decided to leave thp cos I feel I have ran my course on this site. I learnt alot on advanced theory and there are some very good players on this site who I respect. I am quite a proud guy, and I said If I fail to defeat Pav then I would leave cos quite frankly I dont rate him as much of a player. I know you lot think hes amazing etc and thats your opinion which your entitled too....its not just losing to him that has made me leave. I think I should devote more time to playing and trying to win money rather then posting on here. I wish you all well, and thanks anyone who has read my blog. I hope you enjoyed reading. Keep a look out on the ps leaderboard and pocket 5s , cos im gonna be here for a long time. Peace Ciso LUCKY BALDO!

RE:Final EntryDon't leave
Nobody wants you to leave DON'T GO!!!
RE:Final EntrySomeone beating you heads-up doesn't make them win. You leaving a forum because of it makes them win. Seriously, Ciso, this isn't high school. You both took it to the table, and I respect you both for it. But people talking trash in an internet forum (and I'm talking about both of you) is no different than people talking trash at a poker table. If someone gets to you at a table and it affects your play negatively, that is a flaw in your game, not theirs. Similarly, if someone gets to you elsewhere in life, you should strive to let it not affect you just as much. Life's too short. I wish you well if you stay or go, but remember, you dictate who you are, no one else.
PokerStove says we played it good. Poker gods say we suck. --xDiamond_CutteRx
RE:Final EntrySilly decision imo.
everything gunsliger said is true. Those HU's were never going to tell who's right and who's wrong...pavel got the best of you this time, big deal. Analyze the critical hands, sharpen your game by playing more people HU, etc...that's what poker is about. If you want to not play supa anymore I can understand it. I also refuse to play him because I think I can find much better spots, I'm not a big fan of HU and (the most silly reason) I believe he's extremely lucky :p However running away from THP will help or prove nothing tbh. ScanX's 2 cents I'm not like you, I just f*ck up
RE:Final EntryHu battle between the likely undisputed leading THP tourney player and one of the leading THP cash players... I've kept my nose out of it, but exactly what was the point here? Supa remains a good cash player, and you ciso remain an outstanding tourney player. A 'battle' here proves nothing. 2 players from 2 different worlds.
The hands that were thrown into the forum were all pretty much absurd, though I'm not intrested in going through 1500 histories either lol. From the hands I did see, I'ld say there was way too much gambling going on, and not enough poker. That's just my opinion. To leave to concentrate on your game... well that's not a bad thing. Keeps you from being distracted by the likes of this kind of bs. But, I've found in the past that no matter the subject, to take part in active discussions on that subject helps keep me focused (usually development/scripting for me: helping a n00b sort through his problems helps keep me from getting rusty, and the insights/opnions of others often opens my eyes to issues/concepts I had not previously considered). I do hope that we hear from you again Ciso. Would be a shame otherwise.
RE:Final Entrynot to mention that in the last 2 years i've been on #thp i think it was a general note that supa is just a luckbox :D
Raise first and ask questions later
RE:Final EntrySupa calls someone a lucky player? LMFAO!
As for leaving the site, if you feel so strongly about supa wouldn't it be better to leave IRC and just ignore him here? I find reading/posting on THP actually helps me during those long boring times in mtt's p.s. sorry this is a late response, i forgot all about the blog section :O You don't understand! I'm not an empty seat anymore. I'm different!
