Played live tonight, finished like 26th losing 8-8 vs A-10. I raised from button , bb re raised. ( I had raised all night) I sensed he was v weak and shoved knowing hed have to call but aware the chips won if i won the pot would take me to the FT, he had A10 and won. woohoo.

I come play online , the $150 mtt, I play relatively well, tight by my standards. I folded 10-10 and J J twice to ep raises single raises 2night which is huge discipline but I wanted to "know" I had my opponents so I wasnt guessin tonight. Well I finished 14th for $1,050 or something and I am very very very deflated,disaponted, feel unjustified. Basically everything negative, this is like the 5th near big money FT ive made in this month and To be honest I am sick of It.

I lost AKd vs 6-6 , left ss get back up. late on I lose 10-10 vs AK...get back up, get lucky ss with A8 (re raised lp raiser all in , sb woke up wit hQQ got lucky(), then I had TT, ss pushes i isolate all in from sb , bb has JJ LOL LOL LOL LOL. KJ for the ss. I lose.

Get all in with AK and hold for a small vs A5. Then finally bust out buttton pushes all in I decide to make a stand with My a7 as he had been pushing alot but i hadnt seen anything worthy of calling, he has K K . Hmmmm? Nice bet mate.

I am in sb very short stack with 10-9 and move allin BB wakes up with the monster J 8 and holds up. Shocker?


Okay, So I am whiney little bitch eh? Try going deep lots of tournaments (and getting unlucky throughout too!) then losing late on when money gets big. Its f*cking bullshit. $260,000 I calculated I lost in 50-50s and 60-40s etc, and I still nearly final.


I am running so poorly this month its unreal. I mean I think I have been losing over 75 % or more of my "coin tosses" or all ins.

I wont be too harsh on myself cos If I am constantly getting far, then I am doing something right. The end part which is luck orientated has me beat and beat and beat.

If I had another hobby that I can undertake as much time as poker - then Id quit poker for a month or so, I wont promise to quit cos what else can i occupy that time with. But I wish I could, cos I am tired of it. I can take losing all ins here and there in mtts, its the nature of tournaments.....but for this long,at this stage, yuck.

DC will tell you this is why tourneys suck, I'm wondering if you're playing tourneys differently than when you won those two rebuys a while back. From your HH's it seems like you're not the type of player to go after coinflips, or really try to get it all-in preflop unless you're short or you've got AA/KK. What makes a great tournament player is knowing the right spots to get money in, and being able to read opponents and steal pots off of them. You do the latter well, so stick with that.

Yeah - I just running a bit poorly lately, I am getting my money in as favorite just not holding or I am in an untenable position where I "have" to go allin , eg- TT vs JJ sb vs bb. Eh , Cant last forever. Encouragin I get this far even with the bad fortune I getting.
