What am I up to

Permanent Linkby Ciso_B on Tue Jan 30, 2007 1:42 am GMT

Woke up this afternoon and been in pretty low mood all day to be honest, since coming back I been way to slack on my course eg- shit attendance and not working independently. Have had bad sleep pattern, haven't been running well or playing as good as I can online.

I looked at my bank statement earlier too and for how much I have won at this game I really should have alot more, I mean I dont keep records, but I know my BR should be alot more then what its @. Dont get me wrong I am happy , I have done well, but I clearly have a problem with cash, I basically dont put any value on it.

Ok, So my plan was to leave pokerstars, well that plan didnt work well when I looked around and couldnt find a single site that attracted me, so despite cashing out the little amount i had left in i redeposited. This time a much bigger amount then usual, with the intention of playing some nicer tournaments - which inturn should sharpen my focus.

So , I enter a $100 rebuy, the nightly, and a $25 freezeout for the hell of it. I figure, I will prolly be playing more tighter since im multi tabling, and I do. I play imo- sound. I played my good hands well, and avoided playing oop vs lp raisers which I sometimes dont mind doing in the donkaments. I wanted to make sure it was my opponents making errors 2nite, plus we aint so deep stacked in these freezeouts that you can play loads of flops. So I had to adjust.

I finished like 135th in the nightly , top 120 pay (annoying!!).....40th out of like 1200 in the $25 fo for like $100 when my AK couldnt beat QQ then I finished 17th in the $100 rebuy for $900 ($200 expenses). I was chip leader with like 23 left but lost some crucial pots which made it too hard. All that time for like $350 profit i think. The prizes in all the mtts were very well worth it. Never mind.

I went into these mtts, not feeling really really confident I "can outplay" these players but I gotta tell you - these big names dont faze me at all. They all basically think when you raise from the button your stealing ....so I cut that out more...play position like its gold....okay I raise more from ep then.....and play significantly more agressive pre flop. Makes it harder to play small ball with them in a way, but I didnt even play that well tonight and I was in the runnin to win up to $23,000. I plan on playing more of these tournaments, cos frankly , it should be easier money. Less chips in play, less runners, same kinda structure. Only difference is, pricier buy in. Which I am cool with anyway.

I ran poorly last week and barely played or when I did was slack. This week, I wanna try and get back to doin something with my course. I will defo play another live comp or 2 cos I feel I am playing very well in live at the moment and should capitalise on this while I am playing my strongest.

P5s - I am like 160th? Or soemthing like that
Pokerstars - phuff well low, like 800th now.

I will prolly be moving back up on it this week after 2nites cashes' and im anticipating some more strong results. Stay tune for another whinage from "neab" next time folks.

You might want to consider putting some money into FTP/UB/Bodog or any of those sites who constantly have overlays on their big Sunday tournaments, which should be exceptionally big this week considering it's Super Bowl Sunday. Even people who aren't interested in the game watch it for the commercials, so I'd expect lower numbers this week.
Mike Matusow - "They asked me who would you want to be locked on a desert island with? And I said Daniel Negreanu 'cause we'd have a lot of fun"
Antonio Esfandiari - "Wow, do you know how gay that sounds?"
