Cashout Curse!Totally for reals.
Totally. Ok probably not, I tend to have at least 3, sometimes 4 shitty days per week, but it sucks starting your week off down down 18 buyins after the first two days. Sadly, tilt began creeping back into my game yesterday as well. My zen poker has left me. I watched too much when I went all in I guess, but man my big pairs got pretty reamed too. Bunch of flopped sets went sour as well, and finally when I was dominating I would hit my dominating card pair, basically leaving my opponent drawing dead, but they would run me down with some kind of goofiness. Some dirty setups too, like being desperate and pushing 4 or 5 BB with Kx, and BB would manage to have Ax, where that x was ALWAYS THE SAME. It was wild stuff. Or yknow getting all excited to pick up AT or AJ short in the SB only to have BB wake up with AQ or AK. I guess it hasn't happened a ton recently, so I was due, and FT made up for it all in one day. Good, bad shit out of the way then. Time for mad mobney making. All in all they weren't horrible days in themselves, but back to back it stings a bit to lose 1/4 of your "roll." Some days you're the bug, some days you're the windshield. No worries. I'll run sickly good today probably and be back in the black by some absurd amount, then dip back down huge tomorrow, then putter the next few days to have a modest profit at the end of the week. Poker is so easy! Thankfully on day 1 five out of my six cashes were firsts, so that really saved my ass. Yesterday I bubbled 12 times out of 60. That kind of blew. I still rarely seem to start out strong, which is disappointing. Guess it takes me a couple to get warmed up. I only got one 9th yesterday though, and none the day before! Neat. I guess that means either a.) not getting good hands in the first levels, or b.) my hands are holding early on. Both kind of ok, since stealing blinds in the early stages is fairly insignificant anyway, and doubling through is always tasty. In other news, I'm finally getting the frig out of the basement and moving in with my old college roommate for at least a few months, so that's a nice plus. Also means I'm paying about 800 a month in rent and utilities, so some kind of actual job might be in order, which is too bad. I have more than enough money to cover it, but I'd hate to suck up all those funds and do nothing to offset it. Poker would be nice, as I'm really enjoying my days doing this, but obviously a few hundred a week isn't really going to cut it. Every little bit helps though. Could always go back to substitute teaching for the last few months of school as well. In any event, exciting stuff, and it's a nice place too, been there a few times. Time for some breakfast, then hitting the tables. Ship it. *edit* So as expected, the morning session was nuts, cashing in my first 11 out of 14. As it stands right now, I've cashed 19 out of 32 and am 26 buyins to the good so far. Yeah. Poker is neat. I've got deez nuts
