Ho Hum

So the most recent fecal missile I've launched into the spinning blades of poker has been NL50 6max, and is leaving me with very little confidence. I'd like to think it's runbad, and to an extent it is: no matter how good you are, if you're not making hands and showing down strong stuff now and again, you're not going to win. However, with 25k hands+ now, I'm beating Nl50 for .54BB/100, and that's just pathetic. I understand that 100k hand downswings are part of the game, but I really don't think this is a downswing so much as it is me just not playing well enough to be able to beat micro stakes. I took the day off two days ago for cinco de mayo to drink and be merry, feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the tables yesterday. Like 50 hands in, I'm already down a buyin and hadn't even shown down a hand yet. Raise, miss, cbet, fold to resistance. Raise, miss, two barrel, fold to resistance. Raise, miss, checkfold on a dirty board. 3bet, miss, cbet, fold. Easy game.

Don't feel much like playing at the moment, so maybe another day or two off, then scale it back to at least 4, maybe less tables, and fight the boredom by actually trying to put people on ranges during every hand I'm watching instead of saying "ok well they could have this or this or that...I'll just raise and see what happens." They come over the top and I cry and fold, or make a call when I know I'm beat so I can feel good about my read. Scale back, refocus, and try to actually learn a bit more from my playing instead of trying to just mindlessly grind profit. That's what turbo SNGs are for. Oh how I miss them...sort of.

I've got deez nuts
