Holy SNGs Batman! In a rare spurt of excessive enjoyment, I ended up with 104 turbos under my belt yesterday. Just kind of kept firing them up for a few hours. It was neat. Wasn't even a thought of stopping because I was having a good time getting assaulted by 6 tables. Got into a bit of a zone, if you will. Results don't necessarily reflect that, but I didn't get flustered or anything with quick decisions and bad suckouts. From all that up about 10 buyins, which is pretty reasonable 6% ROI to expect. I guess maybe this type of grinding is what it takes to make any kind of profit?
I had another thought during a particularly crappy run about going back to regular turbos as well. I'm going to finish out this week with the supers then reevaluate how I feel about them and maybe deviate for a week. Obviously I can't be basing results and making a final decision off one week, but I'll go with whatever feels better. Supers I can do crazy shit like play 100+ in a day, but regulars I'm know I've got more of an edge once I get back into playing post flop poker. Just like riding a bike right. Need to learn how to have the lucksack on right when I start too. Every day so far this week I've ended up getting stuck anywhere from 10-20 buyins in the first bunch I've played, so the entire day is playing catchup and is immensely frustrating. I even tried easing into it with only 2 tables to start, then slowly working back up to 6, but no dice. Starting your day off 9 6 8 8 7 7 6 4 5 7 9 sucks. Also, I bubble a shitload, most finishes there second only to (thankfully) firsts. Probably a bit too aggressive on the bubble, and with the volatility of these, cashing is a huge boost because anything can happen once it gets down to 3, and has been. I find some of the weirdest suckouts happen once I've already cashed and I get the shaft going from first to third. Cash is still good, but I feel like I should be winning a hell of a lot more than I am. I know there were two situations where I definitely should have folded/not pushed a strong hand but I didn't and bubbled. I guess it doesn't matter that I was ahead both times, because with two shorties at like 2-4BB and me with 6 or 7, I'm still quite comfortable. Heh, what a stupid sentence. These things are so sick. I've got deez nuts
