Not dead

Permanent Linkby Hurricane Ham on Wed Jan 03, 2007 10:51 am GMT

Just had some more shit to deal with, like finding out ex-girlfriend now has new boyfriend. Ouch. Getting better now, though.

Didn't play much the past two weeks or so, but I'm slowly getting back into it. Mostly smaller buyin tournaments, some turbos, some NL100.

Stepped up to the 114 turbos on Stars for no particular reason other than I'm rolled for them and got bored with the 60s. Done about 20, up five or six buyins probably. Astounded at some of the play I've seen so far. It's beyond me how someone can plunk down over 100 dollars and play the way they do, but hey, as long as it helps me. Got my sexy new spreadsheet going again too.

I like being more comfortable doing bigger buyin stuff too, since that=more money, and I like money. Plus I feel better about buying into bigger MTTs like the million and the nightly 150, even though I'm pretty sure I'm just throwing money away on those. Long as I'm having a good time though, even if it does pretty much kill any profit I might make. It's all good.

One of the good things about being a "winning player" at those limits is that if you can sustain your bankroll while playing Sunday millions ect, over the long round you are bound to eventually run enough chips to get into top 100 and then fluke down to final tables/victories.

It's best to completely ignore ex-girlfriends.

What kind of roll are you working with?

I'm pretty sure he's working with a crescent roll. MMmmmmmmm.

To OP...I didn't know you were playing the $114's. You are my hero.

Sitting on about 4400 right now, but I played three this morning and won all three for a tidy 1100 profit. Then just lost 200 in a 109 rebuy tournament where I didn't get shit for cards >:|.

That's sort of what I'm hoping, I'll get a fluke cash for a nice amount at some point, but even that's a stretch. Can't win if you don't try though. If things turn south quick I got no problem running back to the 60s with my tail between my legs.
