StackapotamusGetting my stack in the middle lots, sometimes goot, sometimes not so goot, but big pots are better as long as you've got a big hand. Got a little fancy a few times check/pushing with weak top pair and a turned frush draw or something like that and ran into sets, but thems the breaks. Few suckouts as well against me, but that hasn't happened yet so I'm alright with it. Was quite a swongy day but was not even down 2 buyins by the end. I need to stop playing 98s, I'm down 3 buyins with that hand alone. So sad, it's one of my favorites it's so pretty, but I'm a sucker for nice suited connectors and one gappers and on occasion, two gappers. 63s is my fifth most profitable hand. Nyuk nyuk nyuk.
Still gradually getting a feel for the flow of the game and understanding my image more in relation to the table. Back in the day I'd be confused as to why some person made what I had thought was a ballsy calldown, but now I see on one particular table I could be running a 35VPIP with 20% PFR and looking quite spazzy, so it makes more sense to me and I learn to adapt. Another small step on the path to unsuckage. At this point (>14000 hands), hourly rate is nearly exactly what I'll be making this summer which is pretty neat...I just don't play 8-9 hours a day like I will be putting in at work. Still, good hourly makes me happy. I would like to put more hours in though, as always, since volume is good. First two days this week only got up to 1000 because I had some stuff to do, yesterday got up to about 1600. As I said before 1500+ is the goal since that gets me close to 10k/week, but as long as I keep enjoying it I'm happy with what I can work in. Bonus is about 3/5 of the way done, so I'll probably take out at least the 600 I put in, maybe the bonus money too, then debate a move somewhere. A few people have mentioned 6max, and although traditionally when I get into a lot of marginal spots I tend to do poorly, my NL6max experience has been vastly better than my FL6max. On the surface appears much swongier, what with the thin calls and raises and whatnot, but more action generally, and I like teh action. Right now though I'm digging the full ring, I like nice multiway pots so I can be all limpy and donkish with my crappy hands. If I ever need a change of pace, I might try 6max, since pace changing is good. Tends to be the trend with me, as you all might've noticed. Do well with one type of game for a while, that game goes to pot, lose a bunch, rebuild with a different game, do well, lose, lather rinse repeat. Started with FR FLHE, then a little bit of NL, then Stud, then Stars turbos, then more NLHE, then a break, then bonus whoring, then more FLHE, then back to NLHE, then Partypoker turbos (OH MY GOD I WISH I COULD STILL PLAY ON PARTY), then UIGEA so cashout, then I was on ships donking around with more turbos, then superturbos, and now here I am. Phew. My entire poker career summed up in a few lines. Noice. Grindage! I've got deez nuts
