Weekly Statisticals

Albeit a few days late. Nice upturn on the last day to give the profits a little boost. Here's the rundown:

Played: 546
$ Invested: $16380
$ Won: $16909.20
Net: $529.20
ROI: 3%
ITM: 36%
$/SNG: $.97 (woo!)

So not great, but not bad either. It's a profit. I finish first the most at 75, followed by 7th (blech) at 73, then it's fairly well distributed over the rest of the places from 7 down floating in the 60s. I had 67 thirds and only 54 seconds, and people seem to say that's good since it means I'm playing to win or something. I dunno, to me it just means I didn't win as much money as I could have.

However, in the past two days, I've discovered a way to pretty much eliminate tilt or any kind of minor annoyances really. Instead of watching when I go all in and thinking of what I need to dodge, I push, see what I'm up against, then look away. It sounds really stupid, but totally works, and keeps me on a much more even keel which, so far, has been reflected in the results. It could also just be me running hot since duh, it's only been two days, but in any event, it helps me enjoy playing a lot more and makes life a hell of a lot easier. Not having to chase my notebook and pen across the room ftw. Also, I've completely slowed down my thinking, almost to an excess (a few timeouts here and there), which has also paid off in spades. Before it was rapid fire click click click push push push you have a nice ace or king stick it in, and stupidly I would never take into account the full situation before I acted. Now you're all probably saying "No shit Ham, pay attention and you do better," but it's an approach I haven't yet applied to superturbos. It's been seeing good hand, push, lose to better hand because I wasn't patient enough. I know right? Patience in a superturbo. Who'd a thunk it.

Without really thinking, decided to play more of them yesterday. Had a long drinking night so only managed 50 since the morning was a bust, but it was a good day nonetheless. Ideally it would be nice to average 100/day or so. Also, I've begun to keep track of how long I'm playing so I can begin to get an hourly rate going and see how that looks. If anyone out there has any other important stats they think I should be tracking, let me know. It's funny that I say anyone out there, because I'm pretty sure nobody is out there since nobody even uses the blog function anymore on THPoo. COME LOOK AT MY STELLAR RESULTS.

I've got deez nuts

nice one hammy, whats a sustainable roi for them turbo sngs? Also, what buy in do you play?

I've seen a fair few vids on pokerxfactor on turbos sngs , but dont appeal to me tbh. The regular sng's probably have ppl making more mistakes no?

It seems to me you really thought about your mindset when playing. That's a really good thing to see.

Nice blog
