Well thenStagnant to the max. Sharkscope still has me at an 8% ROI overall, but that's based on 900 or so I've played, when since I've been home I've only hit about 500, which is nicely reflected in the profit graph where I go up and down and up and down and end up in just about the same spot. 126 played yesterday, finishing down 3 buyins, wahoo. I began working my way up to 9 tables with relative ease and was doing fine for a while. Mostly treading water, up a few, down a few, then I kicked it back to six tables and went on a miserable run. Out of 20, I had one second and one third, so meh. The most disheartening moment was when the lucksack was turned way on and I finished 3 3 3 1 1 1 5 1, and still wasn't back to where I started the day at. I still had six more running at the time, but man, that blew.
Grind a bunch more today, run my stats, and see how I feel about making a switch. As of now, regular turbos are looking mighty fine. I always feel like a douche busting on the very first hand too, though admittedly in the past two days, I haven't had pocket kings hold once which is a bummer. Yes, I've kept track, because it started off as four or five times in a row, so whatever, it happens, then I kept watching every time I got them. Really dirty suckouts too sometimes. The lack of firsts is unfortunate as well, I still feel like I lose when I'm dominating way more than I should, especially in crucial situations. I do think I'm being too aggressive with 5 or less players, but I'm also running a bit shit. I decided to stop last night after I had 1800 or so vs. two guys with 200 apiece and blinds at 50/100, and ended up taking third. Yeah, the notebook went flying across the room after that one and I unregged from the rest of them. Advantage about 9 tabling is that I don't really get to see the bad beats so I don't get tilted at all, but it's funny when I don't even remember pushing on a table and all of the sudden it tells me I finished in 7th. Oops. If this pace can continue, Ironman will be no problem. Not that it was a goal I had in mind, but it's a nice something extra to shoot for. I also discovered the SNG leaderboard which is kind of neat and I am currently 70th on. They only break it into low and high though, and apparently 28+2 is considered high, so I'm competing with all the 16+ tabling SNG pro junkies. Oh well, top 50 would be kind of neat, but I probably need to stop sucking before that happens. I see a bunch of the top 10 guys at my tables all the time then look them up, and they've all got 16 high levels of superturbos, so I'm sure it's possible to be a winner at these stupid things. Work on my selectivity and make sure not to lose when I go all in. Stats tomorrow, and it's going to take a damn long time because I haven't done the daily calculations like I used to because the new laptop doesn't have Excel at the moment. Anybody know any other spreadsheet things floating around out there, maybe one that just comes with Vista that I haven't discovered yet? My OCD math brain needs that kind of organization. I've got deez nuts
